Sales Manager Yachts

VBH is expanding its business in the yachting market. It especially targets the fleet of yachts that sail around the world. The portfolio of products and systems that we deliver to our clients consist among others Audio Video & Control, IT, Communication & Security Systems.

We are looking for an experienced professional who is responsible for the sales of small and large projects in the Yachting market. Together with a team of enthusiastic people you will manage and execute the sales of VBH in the USA.

The office for this position is in Fort Lauderdale. For this position, you will report to the Operations Manager.

The sales department and service coordinators work closely together and manage all sales to the VBH Fleet and outside the VBH Fleet.

In this role, you are responsible for promoting VBH in the yachting market. Your ultimate goal in this position is to close contracts with our clients. You will make the strategic sales plan, together with the Operations Manager. You will gather market intelligence and report the info in market descriptions and market plans and account plans. You are also responsible for increasing your own network and VBH network, management of external and internal stakeholders of VBH.

What will you do?

  • Relationship management with the key accounts and prospects, visiting clients worldwide
  • Change commercial opportunities into leads, offers and orders: Refit projects,
  • Identifies new sales opportunities based on market trends, customer needs or specific developments of suppliers in products portfolios
  • Attending shows and exhibits to control the lead generating/gathering activity and to represent the company
  • Keeps track of the new technological products and developments in the market
  • Analyze and provide data that will highlight opportunities in our market

What to bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or technology
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project sales, preferably electronics or electrical systems in the yachting industry.
  • Knowledge and a network in the yachting industry is a big plus
  • Commercial, creative and a relationship builder and customer-focused/Client driven
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • International travel flexibility

The salary range for this position is $ 48.000 - $ 60.000 a year.
