System Engineer

What you’ll do:

As a System Engineer, you’ll be a key player in designing and realizing the smart systems that bring yachts to life. You balance autonomy with coordination – diving deep into designs, while acting as an intermediary between our sales engineers and installers and keeping all the technical gears running smoothly.

You’ll be:

• Learning next to our senior System Engineers
• Designing and developing electrical/electronic systems based on project specs and VBH standards
• Evaluating the technical feasibility of system concepts.
• Presenting technical information in a way that allows other disciplines to process it.
• Creating clear, well-documented technical drawings; what we call deliverables from Engineering
• Selecting the right components and materials with cost-efficiency in mind during the change-order process
• Ensuring designs meet client expectations, regulations, and engineering standards
• Collaborating with project managers and project-team (installation, specialists) – from the drawing board to installation and final delivery, hand-over the as-built documentation.

What do you bring on board:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field is a pre
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in system design or engineering, ideally in a high-tech or maritime setting
• Skills in (database-based) engineering software, like D-tools, AutoCAD/WireCAD)
• Strong communication and analytic skills
• Insight to ask the right questions when being an intermediate between stakeholders
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• An independent mindset, but a great teamplayer
