During the ISE in Amsterdam – VBH wins the Crestron Awards 2019 in the category ‘Ultimate Crestron Superyacht’ for the special Crestron installation on 87 m superyacht Lonian build by Feadship.
The annual award recognizes excellence in control and automation projects featuring Crestron solutions throughout the EMEA region. VBH wins with project MY Lonian, as it offers many unique features and firsts, e.g. the Crestron NVX installed on a yacht. MY Lonian is an 87m superyacht with cutting-edge audiovisual & automation. The system is built on an enterprise-grade IT infrastructure. A particular aspect of the project is that everything is somehow built around the custom loudspeakers installed on board. VBH has successfully delivered on board the following systems: AV, IT, VoIP, Satellite communication, UHF & RoIP radio, GSM repeater & picocell, video surveillance & access control, lighting control. Project M/Y Lonian was also the first superyacht equipped with Crestron NVX in the world.
Michiel Haverkorn van Rijsewijk – CEO of VBH: “It is a honor to win the Crestron Award. We have to think at least three years ahead in people’s needs, technologies and processes. We work with the best team of designers, technicians, engineers and suppliers – like Crestron. All focused on 1 mission: to fulfill the dreams of our clients. We specialize in Audio Visual and IT, in lighting, security and bespoke installations that merge art and technology. It’s both exciting and inspirational to see the different technical disciplines within VBH work together and complete a project like M/Y Lonian.”
In 2018 VBH has entered into a Framework Agreement with Crestron EMEA, the number one company for technology integrations. VBH is implementing Crestron systems onboard superyachts since 2000.
